How does the purchase process work?

Once we have confirmed receipt of funds we will supply you with the relevant instructions and documentation to affect an ownership transfer (otherwise known as a change of registrant). You can transfer the domain to a .com.au registrar of your choice.

The process for a Change of Registrant for a com.au domain works as follows

You must send your nominated registrar the following:-

a) A declaration by Current Registrant of Domain Name (Transferor)

b) A declaration by Proposed New Registrant of Domain Name (Transferee)

c) The transfer code

This information is supplied by us upon confirmation of receipt of funds.

The transfer will result in a new 2 year domain name licence being issued to the proposed new registrant. The new registrant is not entitled to be reimbursed by the registrar for the unused portion of their domain name licence. Change of Registrant fees may vary by registrar and we recommend that you research the costs involved, please contact your registrar for more details.
